The museum has three primary collection areas; archaeology, ethnography, and art, which are used to weave together a story about Ghana's rich cultural history. Objects range in age from the Stone Age to the recent past, and include indigenous Ghanaian musical instruments, beads, traditional textiles, furniture and pottery.
